READING RULES & PRIZE ELIGIBILITY

Each participant must have a valid, up-to-date Liberty Municipal Library card and be registered in the Summer Reading Program.

Only books from the Liberty Municipal Library may be read.

Each bo0k must be checked out.

Record the book once in the Reading Log kept on file in the library.

Participants must read the required amount of books for their reading level.

END OF THE PROGRAM PRIZES

Every child who participates will receive a special prize and certificate at the end of the program.  There will be a special closing day ceremony and party!  All school-age children K-6 who read the required amount of books for their reading level each of the five weeks and have their reading logs marked each week will receive a free ticket coupon good for tickets to their choice of pre-selected HOUSTON ASTROS Summer Trading game gates!

SPECIAL PRIZE DRAWING

For every 10 books read (Birth - 2nd Grade) or For every 3 books read (3rd-6th Grade) Your Name will be entered in a drawing for EXTRA-SPECIAL SUPER-DUPER PRIZES!!  Drawing will take place at the closing ceremony on July 12.


AGES

BIRTH THROUGH 2 YEARS OLD: 
Read easy or very easy books with red or yellow tape on the book spine. 
A weekly prize will be awarded for reading 10 books and recording them in a reading log.

3YEARS OLD THROUGH PRE-KINDERGARTEN: 
Read easy or very easy books with red or yellow tape on the book spine. 
A weekly prize will be awarded for reading 10 books and recording them in the reading log.

KINDERGARTEN THROUGH SECOND GRADE:  Read easy books with yellow tape on the spine. 
A weekly prize will be awarded for reading 10 books and recording them in a reading log.

THIRD GRADE THROUGH SIXTH GRADE: 
Read "J" books, fiction or non-fiction. 
A weekly prize will be awarded for reading for reading 3 books and recording them in a reading log.
