Imagine Your Story Summer Reading Program 2020

The Liberty Municipal Library’s Summer Reading Program gets underway on June 15th with six full weeks of reading fun.

This year’s theme is “Imagine Your Story" and the library has a great lineup of entertainment and prizes for all area children.

June 15th is the first day to check out books that will earn participants weekly prizes. Weekly entertainers include: Craft Day on June 18th, Game Day on June 25th, Musician Will Parker on July 2nd, Puppet Pizzazz on July 9th, Sonny the Birdman on July 16th, Science Tellers – Dragons on July 23rd, and the closing ceremony, prize drawings and Julian Franklin on July 30th.  All events will get underway at 2 p.m.

Weekly prizes will be chosen from a treasure box filled with an assortment of small toys including stuffed toy dragons, magical horses (unicorns, Pegasus, etc.), Narwhals, wind-up pirates, dragon ducks, slime, magic foam, mermaid squirt toys, spinners, and many other great toys.

All children who participate will receive a bag, little goodies and certificate at the end of the program.  In addition there will be drawing prizes given to each age category.  There will be a special closing day ceremony and party. 

All area children are welcome to attend the free program.  An up-to-date Liberty Municipal Library card is required for each child and is free for all Texans.  Parents must present a valid Texas driver’s license when applying for library cards.  Children may be signed up to participate any time during first five weeks of the program.
