Adventure Begins at Your Library SRP 2024

The Liberty Municipal Library’s Summer Reading Program gets underway on June 12th with six full weeks of reading fun.

This year's theme is "Adventure Begins at Your Library" and the library has a great lineup of entertainment and prizes for all area children. 

Kick off this Summer with Orbit from the Houston Astros as he jump starts our summer reading program on June 13th at 2:30 p.m. @ Liberty Center, 1829 Sam Houston Liberty, TX.

June 17th is the first day to check out books that will earn participants weekly prizes. Weekly entertainment includes: Snowcones and Liberty Fire & Police Departments on June 20th, Craft Day on June 27th, new event, Wild Thing Zoofari on July 11th, Magician John O’ Bryant on July 19th.  All events will get underway at 2:30 p.m., except Big Time Bubble Foam Party.

Ending the program with a BLAST will be a Big Time Bubble Foam Party on July 25 @ 10 a.m. Swim attire (swimsuit, goggles, etc.) and a towel for each child is recommended. 

Weekly prizes will be chosen from an assortment of small toys and many other great toys.

All children who participate will receive a certificate at the end of the program.  In addition, there will be drawing prizes given to each age category. 

All area children are welcome to attend the free program.  An up-to-date Liberty Municipal Library card is required for each child and is free for all Texans.  Parents must present a valid Texas driver’s license when applying for library cards.  Children may be signed up to participate any time during first five weeks of the program.
